This week, we celebrate the retirement of our esteemed colleague, Marge Betley, who has served as Executive Director and CEO of the Arkansas TV Foundation (formerly the AETN Foundation and Arkansas PBS Foundation) since September 2020.
Marge guided the Foundation through two defining periods of change that bookended her tenure as CEO. From the moment she arrived, her steady leadership helped strengthen the Foundation during a time of organizational transition and new relationships. Most recently, she worked tirelessly alongside supporters across Arkansas to help secure the future of public television in our state.
While both of those chapters required extraordinary dedication, I want to focus on the way Marge worked throughout her tenure. I've had the privilege of working with many nonprofit CEOs and executive directors, and Marge is truly one of a kind. She combines thoughtful analysis and strategic focus with genuine compassion for the people around her. Under her leadership, the Foundation experienced meaningful growth across virtually every measure of success. She has been an exceptional leader, trusted colleague and valued friend.
On behalf of the Arkansas TV Foundation Board of Directors, thank you, Marge, for your leadership, your service and your unwavering commitment to our mission. We wish you every happiness in your well-earned retirement, and we will miss your daily presence.
