Some stories are beyond a record of history – they are reminders of the strength, resilience and hope that can endure even in the darkest moments. On Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 8 p.m., Arkansas TV will air “Generation to Generation: Dignity,” a powerful documentary sharing the remarkable story of Holocaust survivor Harry Bromberg. The program will air on the statewide network and stream at arkansastv.gov/live.
About the Documentary
Bromberg’s journey is one of extraordinary courage. During World War II, he survived multiple forced labor camps across Europe, facing unimaginable hardships while holding on to the hope that would carry him into a new chapter of his life.
Filmed on location in Paragould, Arkansas, “Dignity” explores Bromberg’s experiences of survival, resilience and rebuilding. Through personal stories and reflections, the documentary offers a moving portrait of a man who endured some of history’s darkest moments while continuing to find strength, purpose and humanity.
The film also shares the perspective of Bromberg’s son, Al Bromberg, a Paragould resident who helps preserve his father’s story for future generations. Through Al’s memories and reflections, viewers gain a deeper understanding of Harry’s life, his legacy and the lessons his experiences continue to teach.
After the Documentary
Following the documentary, Arkansas TV will air a special 30-minute interview featuring Al Bromberg and film producer Thomas Biebers, offering additional insight into the making of Dignity and the importance of sharing Harry Bromberg’s story.
