Revolutionary Transcribe-a-Thon

Garland County Public Library, Arkansas TV, and the Arkansas Center for the Book, a program of the Arkansas State Library invite the public to a free, hands-on Revolutionary Transcribe-a-Thon.
The program opens with a preview from “The American Revolution,” a film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein and David Schmidt followed by guided instruction and collaborative transcription of 18th-century documents through the Library of Congress's By the People project. No experience required. Snacks provided.
This event offers a meaningful way for the community to engage with America 250, and the June 16 date serves as a perfect lead-in to the July 4 anniversary.
Bring a laptop or use library computers. Free and open to the public.
Registration encouraged.
