Broadcasts will feature candidate debates recorded at Arkansas Press Association’s annual event in Eureka Springs
CONWAY, Ark. (Arkansas TV) — Arkansas TV will broadcast the 2026 Arkansas Press Association Debates this July on the main channel, starting with the Secretary of State debate on Wednesday, July 1, and the Gubernatorial debate on Wednesday, July 8. The debates took place at the Arkansas Press Association’s “A Day of Debates and Luncheon” on Friday, June 26, in Eureka Springs.
“2026 Arkansas Press Association Debates: Secretary of State” – Wednesday, July 1, at 6 p.m.
State Sen. Ken Hammer (R), who has represented District 16 since Jan. 9, 2023, debates Democrat candidate Kelly Grappe and Libertarian candidate Michael Pakko.
“2026 Arkansas Press Association Debates: Gubernatorial” – Wednesday, July 8, at 6 p.m.
State Sen. Fredrick Love (D), who has represented District 15 since Jan. 9, 2023, debates Libertarian candidate Colt Shelby. Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) declined to participate in the debate.
