Performances by Natural State artists to raise awareness for mental health, resources for farmers, ranchers

CONWAY, Ark. (Arkansas TV) — Arkansas TV will air the “Harvest for Hope Concert” Thursday, March 19, at 7 p.m. on the statewide network and arkansastv.gov/live. Filmed Dec. 6 in Keo, Arkansas, the concert was designed to bring communities together and raise awareness for farmers’ mental health.

The benefit concert, which raised $100,000, featured performances from Arkansas-based artists such as Rep. Rick Crawford’s band Triple Nickel, Three Times a Lady and Matt Stell. Since the formation of Triple Nickel in 2015, the band has played numerous festivals and county fairs, featuring a blend of classic rock, country and some original songs. Three Times A Lady is an all-woman harmony trio delivering the best of classic country. Stell is a country artist who has been featured on “Good Morning America” and “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

In addition to broadcasting the concert, Arkansas TV has produced related content that features the struggles of farm life and resources to help. “The Growing Season,” funded through a Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network grant is an agricultural podcast featuring interviews with Arkansas farmers. From large-scale, row cropping to cattle ranches and two-acre vegetable operations, “The Growing Season” takes a long, honest look at the many things “farming” means to Arkansans, and the many hurdles that come with that way of life.

“Good Roots,” explores rural community life, agribusiness and how these aspects are evolving through modern advances, and includes segments covering mental health for farmers and various resources to help.

“Dirt” — an award-winning documentary about saving our soil — delves into how Arkansas farmers, ranchers and more are improving their operations by helping the environment. “Dirt” breaks through the surface to explore the living, breathing ecosystem beneath our feet.
