24 Sep 2026 in

Learning, personal growth and a positive outlook can open new possibilities at any stage of life. This week, “Arkansas Week” explores opportunities to keep learning, overcome personal challenges and connect with others, from educational programs for older adults to lessons in positivity and a new Arkansas TV program focused on conversations with people making a difference across the state. “Arkansas Week” airs Friday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m.

ABOUT THIS WEEK’S EPISODE

This week’s guests bring a variety of experiences and perspectives to the conversation.

LifeQuest of Arkansas recognizes that lifelong learning is an important pursuit for acquiring knowledge and skills, exploring new ideas, and fueling curiosity. LifeQuest promotes and provides, in collaboration with other community organizations, a variety of educational programs using peer-learning concepts to benefit intellectually inquisitive older adults. Executive Director Leah Greenfield and LifeQuest Conway member Sharon Thompson join the program to talk about the organization and its work.

Arkansas author and motivational speaker Michael Woods joins us to talk about his new book, “Staying Positive in a Negative World.” Drawing from his own experiences with addiction, personal struggles and business success, Woods shares the perspective behind his new book and his approach to staying positive.

Eddie Armstrong, a former Arkansas state representative and House Minority Leader, introduces viewers to “Stronger With Armstrong Podcast,” his upcoming Arkansas TV program featuring conversations with people making an impact in communities across the state.
