Whether you're into art, history or hands-on experiences, these spots offer something for everyone. From scenic walking trails to interactive exhibits, here are five must-visit museums in Arkansas that are perfect for your next adventure.

1. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is located in Bentonville and offers free admission. The museum showcases famous artwork from the colonial period to the present, and you might need several hours or even days to see them all. It is also home to several 5-mile walking trails where you can stop and appreciate outdoor sculptures. You can also visit its library, full of historical art references. Not only is Crystal Bridges fun for all ages, but the structure itself has significance, as world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie designed it. 2. Museum of Discovery
The Museum of Discovery is a great place for families to laugh, learn and spend time together. Located in Little Rock, and featuring affordable ticket prices, the museum allows you to engage in multiple interactive exhibits and experiences. Their newest galleries are Small Fry Fish Camp; an immersive experience designed for children six and under. The Curiosity Spot, a hands-on exhibition designed to stimulate creativity and exploration. They are constantly holding new events for families to experience. 3. Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts
The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, located in Little Rock, is known for its vast collection of artwork. The museum features drawings, contemporary art and highlights works by famous artists such as Rembrandt and Pablo Picasso. The museum is also known for its concerts, children's theater and talks and lectures by renowned artists. It also offers tours for families and groups. 4. Museum of Native American History
The Museum of Native American History is in and allows you to take a journey through America's past. The exhibits are laid out chronologically so you can easily understand the 14,000-year journey to present-day Arkansas. See ancient artifacts, headdresses, and the renowned Sweetwater Biface, and explore different events and festivals. 5. Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site
Located in Little Rock, you can walk through this historic site where nine African American students, known as the Little Rock Nine, integrated an all-white school. Learn about the struggles they faced and the obstacles they overcame while witnessing the impact of the Supreme Court decision in Brown v. Board of Education, where all schools were racially integrated. The site offers free admission to all and is a great place for history lovers.
