Arkansas has no shortage of women who have made a difference in their communities, their professions and the state as a whole. On Aug. 27, seven of those women will officially join the Arkansas Women’s Hall of Fame.
And you can watch it all from home.
As part of its Arkansas Live initiative, Arkansas TV will livestream the 10th annual Arkansas Women’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony Thursday, Aug. 27, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at arkansastv.gov/arkansaslive.
This year's class includes women who made their mark in business, education, journalism, health care, nutrition, public service and more.
Meet the 2026 Inductees:
• Cynthia East – Community service advocate and entrepreneur.
Marsha Martin – Creative product designer, businesswoman and philanthropist.
Cynthia E. Nance – Educator, philanthropist, lawyer and Arkansas TV Commission member.
Sharon Allen (1944-2021) – Healthcare insurance trailblazer and advocate.
Phyllis Brandon (1935-2020) – Journalist.
Dorothy Caldwell (1935-2023) – Nutrition advocate and pioneer.
Vada Sheid (1916-2008) – Arkansas’s first female legislator.
Induction Ceremony
The 10th annual induction ceremony into the Arkansas Women’s Hall of Fame will take place on Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Centennial Bank Ballroom in North Little Rock.
Arkansas TV will host a live stream of the event at arkansastv.gov/arkansaslive. Arkansas TV, in partnership with the Arkansas Women's Hall of Fame, also has a digital series featuring Arkansas Women’s Hall of Fame inductees, which can be watched on YouTube.
